A
Brief Introduction
Located just outside the university town of Antigonish,
in the charming Acadian village of Pomquet, BEAVER DAM
FARM FJORDS II, LTD, breeds sensational Fjordhorses!
BDF
Fjords are athletic, elegant, and beautifully trained.
They’re sought after by dressage riders and Therapeutic
Riding Centers. Odd as it seems, both disciplines have
similar requirements --- horses that move with freedom
in the shoulders, back, and hindquarters. And, of
course, both disciplines must have horses with good
minds and good work ethics.
Beaver Dam Farm runs a marvelous program called - Nova
Scotia Riding & Driving Vacations. They specialize in,
but are not limited to beginners. The emphasis is
always on correct handling and safety. Safety for
horses and people is #1 at Beaver Dam Farm.
The farm is owned by Carol & Arthur Rivoire, and has
been a Fjord breeding farm since 1979. -- Carol is the
author of THE FJORDHORSE HANDBOK, a complete manual on
the care, selection, and training of Fjordhorses.
